Totally. Some TV shows you watch just because you really like the premise. Smallville comes to mind. Superman growing up, how can you pass that up? Except the show itself was almost entirely unremarkable. Terminator, the Sarah Connor Chronicles is a counter-example. I love Terminator, but I thought that show was great in its own right.
Seeker is filled with swords and wizards and prophecy and magic and busty women, so it has all those draws. But aside from the slight cheesiness and some questionable acting, a lot of it is just really enjoyable television in its own right. It's also been interesting reading the book and seeing where the first season of the show drew from the book how it altered the story for television, and what it left out.

Hey KBD,
I like the show as well. I expected it to be total kitsch garbage, and while it is cheesy to some extent, I actually found it to be pretty enjoyable.
Did you know you're a source in Wikipedia? I was reading about diff utilities and came across this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WinDiff
Haven't seen you online in a while. Hope all is well.
