I found that article to be hilarous.
Criticism of someone does not equal disrespect. 70% of Americans disapprove of our current president, and I think they have good reason to do so. He's had two terms to show them what kind of results his leadership (or lack thereof) can produce. He has not been responsible for everything, but it's hard to see how he hasn't been responsible for a great deal: the war in Iraq, uncontrolled spending, the expansion of the federal government, abuse of executive power, etc.
Bush sought the job of commander in chief -- twice. That means he has to accept a certain level of responsibility, even if it's (alas! alack!) a job that turns out to be thankless.
If the buck doesn't stop with the president, where should it stop?
