I call BS. I can trick myself into seeing it go "Anti"-clockwise (what we call Counter Clockwise), but she's going clockwise.
I've googled for discussions about this figure and nobody seems to have any science references for the right/left brain association that is being claimed. In one discussion, the assertion is made that this animated gif is old and only recently has someone attached this brain sidedness association.
If anyone can come up with some science to back this up, I'd be interested. I would guess that it is part of a scientific experiment, into gullibility.
