If you fancy trying out some ruby-on-rails-but-with-php-instead I can recommend CakePHP (www.cakephp.org).

I haven't done much with it yet beyond using the build in scaffolding and the documentation is woefully lacking but the code behind is excellent and the support (via the google group and IRC) is great too.
