Heh. (For future reference, Google China returns no image results for "Keith Devens").
You make a very good point. But whatever the cause, the difference in results is still very creepy. Whether or not this represents intentional censorship on Google's part, I think it's fair to say it's an end result of China's censorship.

I admire the way China treats protesters. Next time we need to go war, the streets of San Francisco should look like pizza toppings.
Plus, the Chinese government is more capitalistic and trustworthy than most of our European "allies" like the French and Germans.
They also have a foot soldier for every man, woman, and child in our country. If they want their own version of Google, we should give it to them.

France and Germany also censor Google, a reader points out, but that is OK, being "democratic."
I never knew this. It's creepier to see people worried about China taking away jobs through deregulation when European countries are gradually laying the foundation for a giant EU police state.

But if you try different words, even uncommon names like "Hans Hoppe" or "Keith Devens", it still gives you different results. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Chinese websites use "tiananmen" in a different context than American websites. Google.cn returns Chinese website results while Google.com returns American website results.
