About.com: The Top 10 Free Time Wasting Sites on the Net. Contains this falling sand game that everyone's been wasting time with today. Via diggdot.us, a mashup (I love that word) of slashdot, digg, and del.icio.us/popular which is one of my favorite places to go when I'm looking for links when bored. My favorite place, however, is reddit. Anyone else have any other "bored links" sites you like?

US government warns it's running out of cash:
In a letter to Senate leaders Thursday, Snow said the statutory debt limit imposed by Congress of 8.184 trillion dollars would be reached in mid-February and the government would then lose its borrowing power.
Snow warned that even if the Treasury took "all available prudent and legal actions" to avoid breaching the ceiling, "we anticipate that we can finance government operations no longer than mid-March".
Disgusting. We spent too much, let's raise our own credit limit (yet again)! How about some responsible government for once?
