It may be the oddest tale to emerge from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Armed dolphins, trained by the US military to shoot terrorists and pinpoint spies underwater, may be missing in the Gulf of Mexico.

There is a great movie called "Day of the Dolphin" with George C. Scott that has a good deal of truth in the fiction. That movie was a big influence on "The Life Aquatic", and also inspired a Halloween episode of "The Simpsons".

Dolphins are the only intelligent life on this planet.
