I got into that Serenity screening for bloggers

I got into that Serenity blogger screening. I'm supposed to link to the Serenity web site and post this synopsis:

Joss Whedon, the Oscar® - and Emmy - nominated writer/director responsible for the worldwide television phenomena of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE, ANGEL and FIREFLY, now applies his trademark compassion and wit to a small band of galactic outcasts 500 years in the future in his feature film directorial debut, Serenity. The film centers around Captain Malcolm Reynolds, a hardened veteran (on the losing side) of a galactic civil war, who now ekes out a living pulling off small crimes and transport-for-hire aboard his ship, Serenity. He leads a small, eclectic crew who are the closest thing he has left to family –squabbling, insubordinate and undyingly loyal.

Oh, and note that I've had a countdown on the right side of my site counting down to September 30th, the day of Serenity's release, for most of the last year. It's down to 6 days! Four for me if I get into this screening!

Good short interview with Joss about Firefly/Serenity, in which he explains the origins of the word "shiny", and what storyline he most regrets not having the chance to flesh out. Via WHEDONesque.

Update: WHEDONesque links to another interview with Joss that the poster highly recommends. But it's spoilery, so it'll have to wait a week for me to read.
