Did you ever see a trailer for a movie, and have a suspicion that the movie would be very different? Or worse, have you been to see the movie, and finally understood just how much they twisted the truth when making the trailer? Well, a contest for making purposefully misleading trailers produced this gem: Shining[MOV], which turns The Shining into a heartwarming movie about a boy and his dad.

Definitely worth checking out.

that's funny...it reminds me of a project i did at school where we took a trailer (i chose army of darkness) and had to replace the audio with our own (i used clips from a henry rollins stand-up cd)...i turned the movie into a story of michael bolton (and his army of midwestern, middle aged lady fans, or boltheads, as they call themselves) coming to destroy earth. which i guess in reality isn't so far from the truth....
