Corante: Victory in Broadcast Flag Case! FCC Has No Authority Says Court. I hadn't even heard of this before, but this sounds like great news to me. Via Wes.

Wes:
Dave asks what if Google's Web Accelerator modifies content. The Coral developers thought about the same question from a different direction: How can a proxy prove that it didn't modify the content? Once you think about it that way, the answer becomes obvious: Web servers can sign content. Google could show its good intentions by leading the development of an HTTP signature extension.
Interesting. Though it seems unlikely to me that proxies would alter web content, since whatever benefits could be had would largely be outweighted by any consequences of the act's discovery. But, no harm in being sure, and being able to ensure. Incidentally, I haven't linked to Dave, even indirectly, in years.

lgf: Simon, Reynolds, LGF on Kudlow. The video is great, and it's really fun to get a look at bloggers I've been reading for so long.
Pajamas Media sounds really interesting. If I was interested in serving ads on my site, I'd probably be signed up already. It's a gutsy and forward-thinking endeavor.

I just read this on Google's blog and discovered something... did you know you can send to an e-mail address from your mobile phone? I had no clue. For a programmer, I'm very gadget illiterate.
