I wouldn't describe Affirmative Action as being a liberal policy in the slightest. Some people getting artificial, unfair help from the government because they are of a certain race? Doesn't sound very liberal at all.
Artificially lowering the barrier to entry for certain types of people without taking the actual aptitude into consideration is bound to be reflected in the final results of that demographic.
I think the very principle of Affirmative Action is wrong and condescending. Discrimination should be exposed and discouraged, not compensated for and tolerated.
