BlogMatrix Jäger - RSS aggregator in the simple spirit of lilina that I'd like to try out. It's open source, written in Python, and uses wxWidgets (formerly wxWindows) and Cheetah. If I don't like something I can change it
Open source rules.
Update: I don't like Jäger. It actually doesn't act like lilina in that it still organizes based on feed, not based on time.

Damnit Syndic8, I've been sending you 301 permanent redirects for how long now, years?, and you're still fetching the old feed location. Get a clue, please.
Update: You too LiveJournal!

Is there any way to block spiders from grabbing my comments rss files? It's totally unnecessary that they grab them. Unfortunately, they're not at a simple URL that I could block from a robots.txt file, such as keithdevens.com/commentsrss/6392. For example, the comments rss file for this post is available at http://keithdevens.com/weblog/archive/2005/Jan/11/spiders.comments-rss/rss.

TennCare benefits are being drastically cut because the program is a failure. Kyle Markley has a lot more detail on TennCare, including that it failed even though the federal government was paying 2/3rds of it:
The program was an extension of federal Medicaid, and was subsidized with federal dollars... let me see if I understand this correctly. I, a resident of Oregon, am supposed to help pay for Tennessee's brave new collapsing socialist experiment? By what right? I can't seem to shake the phrase "no taxation without representation" from my mind. But I, and all Americans, are already paying for part of it through federal taxes. It's outrageous.
Kyle points out simple lessons in economics that we all should heed. They will be on the test. Given that, according to Glenn, TennCare was essentially a HillaryCare lite, TennCare's failure will be an issue in the 2008 election.
