I've had whiplash since skiing last Saturday. I didn't know it was whiplash at first, but as I've been in pain and couldn't easily get out of bed every morning, I figured I actually had whiplash. I think I'm at a milestone in my recovery. I didn't hurt any more this morning than I did last night. I think it had to do with how I slept. We'll see how I feel tomorrow morning.

Slashdot | Folksonomies In Del.icio.us and Flickr. I'm particularly interested in tag-based categorization systems (as soon as I'm done with all the other work I have to do I intend to make public my tag-based bookmarks system I've been using for a long while), so I want to check out all the links on this /. post.

Power Line is now in my list of "must reads" on the right. It's a great site (that's why it was named Time's "blog of the year"
).
The only reason it hasn't been on my "must-read" list until now is because it's kind of hard to keep up with. They do more commentary than just linkage, so it's a lot to read and it's harder to scan. Plus, the site is run by three people, so... triple the output.
Putting it on my must-read list will hopefully get me to keep up with it.

pikabellechu: Yes I am a PikaHolic and Proud of It... (via Matt). I've seen the addictive quality that Pokemon has for some people, so I've literally been afraid to watch it on TV. If it's on while I'm channel surfing I try to immediately change the channel, and worry I might have been hooked in that split second. See for yourself how Pikachu is the linked person's heroin.

Republicans back off the DeLay rule change. See this for background. That's good news, and it's the right move, but it should have never happened in the first place. Even if the rule change (to allow a house leader to keep his post while under indictment) was a good idea (and I'm open to the idea that it was), doing it at the time they did it was very foolish politically. DeLay knew it, which is why he (along with Hastert) was the one who made this proposal to maintain the current rules.
Also, Democrats strengthened their ethics rule to match the Republicans' rule.
Update: Scott has a slogan for DeLay: "Tom DeLay: always willing to set aside patently ridiculous and fairly nauseating rule changes if he's pretty sure he's not going to need them." Somehow I forgot to mention that I'd heard that it was pretty certain by now that he wasn't going to be indicted. So that probably had something to do with this
Scott also is right to point out DeLay's other honorable reason for making this proposal.
Update: Amy has comments.
