  1. I love my site. I can go to a non-existent URL, click edit, add some text and submit, {back*2}, refresh, and the page is there.

  3. Rails 1.0: Party like it's one oh oh! (via Sam Ruby). Rails 1.0 released!

Update: David has an announcement and rubyonrails.org has a new site with more content. Check out the quotes about rails.

  4. Paul at Power Line: Cut-and-run lite:

The Daily Standard has posted my latest column about the emerging Democratic political strategy regarding Iraq. Consistent with their perennial lack of seriousness about matters of national security, the Democrats are attempting for political purposes to split the difference between "cut-and-run" and "finish the job." Thus, they are coalescing around a "cut-and-run lite" approach whereby we would fight until a certain pre-announced date or time frame and then quit, regardless of the facts on the ground. I doubt that any nation, has ever adopted such bizarre approach to warfare. But, as John Kerry proved in 2004, the Democrats are capable of previously unknown gyrations when it comes issues of war and peace.

  6. Here's an excellent review of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by Brian Tiemann (via Steven Den Beste):

I hate to sound like a shill for rampant CG animation taking over the domain of the now-evaporating 2D animation market, but it certainly seems as though it's made it possible for the first time for directors with real storytelling vision to bring to life classic fantasy stories that until now had been impossible to visualize anywhere except in the mind.

  7. Ian Bicking: Other Editors? The developer of NewEdit chimes in in the comments. It looks really excellent. Unfortunately it's in Chinese!

Update: Actually, I downloaded it and the interface runs in English on my computer.
