BizzyBlog.com: 43% of the Country Believes We’re in a Recession!

BizzyBlog.com: 43% of the Country Believes We’re in a Recession! (via Roger Simon). Whoa. That's just weird.

Update: More, at the WSJ: Pouting Pundits of Pessimism: Every bit of good economic news gives them reason for despair (via Glenn Reynolds).

Update: Though, Ed Driscoll notes that This Probably Isn't A Bad Thing (via Glenn Reynolds):

As a former financial planner, I've long been astonished at how so many Americans can be ill-informed on basic economic issues. But on the other hand, if the reverse of this headline is true--if say, 86 percent of the country believes we're not in a recession, then it might be a good idea to check your calendar. It probably says 1987 or 2000 on it, with an economy--or at least a stock market--that's just about to peak.

  1. ongoing · On Beyond Java — the Web. Tim Bray writes on continuations-based web frameworks like Seaside. Really gotta play with it one of these days.

  2. VDH: A Moral War (via LGF):

Of course, the White House, as is true in all wars, has made mistakes, but only one critical lapse — and it is not the Herculean effort to establish a consensual government at the nexus of the Middle East in less than three years after removing Saddam Hussein. The administration’s lapse, rather, has come in its failure to present the entire war effort in its proper moral context.

    To read.
