Lucene in Python

Lucene in Python: I wonder how mature Lupy and PyLucene are. Lupy is a Python port of Lucene, while PyLucene is a Python interface to Lucene through SWIG. According to the FAQ and the version number, Lupy is not very mature. Dunno about PyLucene.

Last I tried PyLucene, it was incredibly slow. An indexing task that took 12+ hours in PyLucene took less than 1 hour with Lucene.
