Too much spam

About 87% of my e-mail is spam, according to K9, which is catching 99.52% of it (with no false positives). Unfortunately, that percentage is with a blacklist that matches over 40% of my e-mail and a whitelist that matches over 1%. Something has to be done about spam.

My proportion is rather lower due to being subscribed to several rather high-volume mailing lists (and you wonder why I've not time ), but I sympathise.

The reason why they think they can get away with it is that it's so cheap for them to do it. It's simple economics. Being pariahs in the business world isn't enough. If you want them to stop, then the only way to do it is make is economically unfeasable to do so. The question is, how?
