  2. So, supposedly Dick Cheney has an enormous penis. I really want that "Hung like a Republican" t-shirt.

  3. Michael J. Totten: They Ain’t Studying War No More (to finish reading):

The 1960s New Left thought “Ain’t gonna study war no more” was a good idea and a clever slogan. It was neither. It was a way of admitting in public that they were entering a phase of willful ignorance.

    Via Glenn.

  4. Jonah Goldberg on Hollywood & abortion:

And, the moment the women decide to have the baby, the fetus is automatically discussed as if it were a complete person worth talking to, reading to, singing to etc. The implication here, of course, is that if Rachel or whoever had simply chosen not to have the baby, that choice and that choice alone would have been enough of an abracadabra to metaphysically transform the fetus into nothing more than a lump of cells or the inconvenient consequence of a one-night-stand not worth reading to at all.

Via Glenn, whose analogy I don't think works. You have a duty to rescue if you're the person who put the baby in the water in the first place.

Power Line on Specter

Power Line on Specter: "It appears that the debate over Arlen Specter's assuming the chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee has played out exactly right." Good. I was with Hugh Hewitt on this one.

I'm not familiar enough with Specter's history, but I listened to Laura Ingraham interview Judge Bork who was unfairly treated by Specter in the 80's -- it seems to me that the man should be on the Supreme Court right now... I'm not sure if it was Specter alone who was able to derail his appointment.

Anyway, this seems to have played out ok so far... we'll see how the next four years (and maybe afterward) work out.

  1. Power Line: Good News from the CIA. It looks like the CIA might finally be starting to clean house. Good! John says: "Be forewarned, however: cleaning up the CIA will be a lot harder than cleaning up Fallujah."

    Roger Simon has comments.

  3. MSN Search (beta). I'll have to do comparisons between it, Google and Yahoo. What other search engines are still in the game? Teoma? Vivismo? A9 is there, but it uses Google for its results.

Also see this about Microsoft's new engine, via Kayode.

  4. :target and conditional text display, via Kayode. Cool! I didn't know there was anything to do this in CSS (3). I've previously implemented this technique using Javascript, but with CSS3 I don't have to. Perfectly degradable too.

  5. Ping-o-Matic! » Announcing A2B GeoLocation Support. I've never gotten around to adding geolocation tags to my web site. It's on my huge list of things to do.

  6. My Way News: General Praises Speed of Fallujah Success. Interesting article.

Update: Drudge is reporting that "as many as 1600 insurgents" were killed (in just 6 days!), which bests the 1200 number that that article cites.
