Bush wins, Thune wins (and Daschle loses), Republicans pick up three four seats in the Senate, some seats in the House, some governorships too, I think, and Bush has a 3.7 3.6 million person margin of victory in the popular vote. Good day.
Update (evening): How could I forget? In every state where a measure to protect marriage was on the ballot it passed, often by a very large margin.
However, the worst news of the election is that the moral travesty of proposition 71 in California passed with ~60% of the vote.
