This is not The Greatest Song in the World, oh no. This is just a tribute. – Tenacious D

Mozilla's (Firefox's) keyboard shortcuts

Is there any way to change Mozilla's (Firefox's) keyboard shortcuts? I just lost a fairly long weblog entry I was writing because I hit CTRL+W by mistake (in Dvorak, CTRL+V, for paste, is right next to it). I've always hated the CTRL+W shortcut (in any program)... that's what CTRL+F4 is for.

Good reading

I'd really recommend checking out the past few posts at Right Wing News (including this, this, and this), Wunderkinder (including this and this), the Belmont Club (including this (especially that) and this), and this and this from Steven Den Beste. Lots of good stuff...too much to provide any detail.

How could I forget Cox & Forkum? Read this and this and this and this and this. Smiley

Kerry and Taxes

David Ellis over at Wunderkinder has a great post about Kerry and his tax "plan". I had no idea our corporate taxes were so high! No wonder it's profitable for companies to "offshore". Though, I don't understand how corporate taxes work... I should learn.

The Heritage Foundation has some statistics:

The United States now has the second high [sic] corporate tax rate in the world, second only to Japan. America’s corporate tax rate is higher than the rate in every European nation – even socialist welfare states like France and Sweden. This creates a significant competitive disadvantage for US-based companies.
