Protest Warrior

This is a great account of a student fighting for non-left free speech rights as his school. I laughed out loud at some of the interactions he recounts:

On the sign saying "End the Arab Occupation of Jewish Land" she said "what if instead of Arab it said nigger!" I told her that wouldn't make sense because black people aren't occupying Jewish land, and that Arab was not a racial slur.

What's fascinating, reading the thing, is how anti-intellectual, and (dare I say it?) closed-minded the students are. It's amazing to see their inability to think. That the kid remained calm and composed the entire time is very impressive. Kudos to him.

These anti war people are so clueless. I have spent dozens of hours researching Iraq, reading hundreds of intelligence docs from the international community. When I ask an anti-war person if there interested in reading these docs they tell me there not. But it’s funny how they claim that they know everything about Iraq. But then again most of these losers are phony. They supported Clinton when he bombed Iraq but when it comes to Bush they start there venom BS machines. You anti-war people are so transparently phony and and partisan. You don’t fool anyone.

How can Palestinians occupy Israel since they don't have an army?
They can't even feed themselves. While I support your right to free speech even if your sign is inaccurate and the actualy occupation is vise verse of what your sign claims. Why don't you oppose Neo-con occupation of US geovernment instead of putting Israel ahead of teh US. How about instead "End the Israel aologist whitewashing of the USS liberty attack"? Since the Israel/Arab conflict doesn't have much to do witht he US, unless you're shamless trying to turn Israel's enemies into America's enemies. Yes Saddam was a thug and so was Arafart but Saddam wasn't behind 9/11. In fact your sign more interested those that are enemies with Israel than those that are America's enemies ( North Korea,Taliban ( thanks for getting us involved with Israel's foe Saddam becuase Osama was able to get away as a result). Don't make Israel's enemies America's enemies. Also, we supported Saddam during the 1980's conflict with Iran. Also, why are you so concerned about Israel's enemies. Shouldn't your attention be focussed on America's foes, Osama, North Korea,Iran,etc. I don't care about Israel's problems, I care about America's problems. Spare us your Israel before America middle East policy. We need a US neutral Middle East policy. Also let's remove all US troops out of Saudi Arabia and everywhere else in the world and place them on our borads., which was one of the reasons why 9/11 happened.
Forget Israel and Iraq, America's threat is from our uncontrolled borders.
Support our Troops bring them home so they can gaurd the Mexican/Canadian border, emphasis on "Mexican".
