Chinese/Japanese fonts

I just installed Chinese or Japanese font support in my browser, largely because I got some Asian-language comment spam It's so cool to see all these squiggly characters all over the place! Here's a Google search for what I got spammed with. If you know what that means, let me know.

E-mail correspondence chess

I'm be interested in starting a game of e-mail chess. Shoot me an e-mail if you'd like to play a game. If you'd like to be white, include your first move in the e-mail.

Update: What would be interesting as well would be to play a game in the comments on this post. Maybe I could even hook up something to show the current state of the game somewhere on this post.

XML (XSLT and XPath) specifications

Who needs a book? I have the specs!

The XPath spec in particular is pretty short and comprehensible. I haven't looked much at the XSLT spec, but it's much longer.

My most missed feature of ICQ

What I most miss about old-school, back-in-the-day ICQ is the feature where the person you're chatting with receives what you type immediately, as you type. It made chat more of a real conversation -- you could interrupt each other and everything. I wish we still had that option in newer clients.
