Our recent election joins the select ranks of epochal American presidential elections alongside: 1792, 1860, 1932 and 1980... What makes this an epochal election is what it says about the American public. After Nov. 2, the world now knows that Americans intend to stand and fight. So far, America's public is the only one that has so indicated.

From Paul, who maintains a great list of XML Alternatives comes the CFLD (Compact Flash Linux Distribution) list, which lists Linux distributions that are small enough to fit on a flash card. I'm surprised Damn Small Linux didn't make the list.

jEdit manual: Writing Macros. I'm very psyched that macros in jEdit are transparent. With EditPlus I had to record a macro and hope that all was right. If I screwed up I'd have to start all over. With jEdit, I can fix a screwup, add to an existing macro, etc. It's great.
