Its great (sic) how it embeds itself in your system tray too, and throws itself in your startup (for no particular technical reason.) Guess it's important for them to have their logo seen more then it is to provide good service...
I agree w/ Aggelos's suggestion above. I've also installed the media player classic and it's a much better product then real player and/or quick time, which also insist on running in startup and loading onto your system tray.

Since I got WMP 10 I have uninstalled the REAL pain in the ass. If it's in .rm format then I don't wanna hear it!
Horrible thing!

I think that Real has more monopolistic acts than Microsoft. Believe me because I tried Real once and my computer is bombarded with ads may it be pop-up or not. I found out that Real is the culprit and I uninstalled it. Apple and Microsoft do not do that to their free players and instead they give you guides to online content but this is bad! Instead of putting a guide in their player, they even loaded Music Store! So I hate RealPlayer, use WMP 10, QuickTime, WinAmp or better still, iTunes.

Since you hate RealPlayer too, you should give Media Player Classic (along with Real and QuickTime alternative) a try.
