Life break

So, my brother's home -- here as a halfway house because he has a speeding ticket to protest in CT tomorrow morning, and my dad's home from a business trip in Texas. We have fires going in the living room and the kitchen, hung out in the living room going over my brother's upcoming trip to Spain during winter break... so... good times.

I'm having some of my Johnnie Walker Blue that my friend gave me for my birthday, and I'm sitting in a rocking chair and studying for my finals. I realized that that's my ideal evening, besides the studying for finals part.

Conversation with my brother:
Me: "I should put that in a personal"
Bro: "I thought you were single for life?"
Me: "Yeah, well, theoretically. You know, people put walking along the beach, I put drinking scotch, sitting in my rocking chair, next to a fire^[1]."
Bro: "You realize that's a solo activity, right? It's not something you do as a couple."
Me: "Haha, I guess that fits really well with the "single for life" thing."
