Nah, you're thinking of the <link> tag, where rel="next" or rel="prev".
And you really need a printer-friendly stylesheet...

Hmm... ok, I'll do that. Should be a piece of cake. Simply adding a class of "no-print" to things that shouldn't show up in the printer-friendly stylesheet as well as some bit of CSS (not sure how to specify the print stylesheet OTTOMH) to make it hidden should be all it'll take.

Man that was easy. Try it now. How's that?

One thing I've noticed - the owner of each comment is shown below the text. In cases where there are long posts replying to each other, it's almost necessary to scroll down to see who's talking before reading their post. Just a thought.
It's an odd concept of considering a software project "done," but only because requirements tend to change. In this case, if it does what you need and will continue to do so, then maybe it is finished.

Yep. Of course, maybe I'll do things like change the templates when I redesign my site, and I still want to do some things like have comment subscriptions so you can be notified when there's a new comment on a post, and I also want to rewrite my StructuredText parser, but those are all minor things. Mostly, it's done in the sense that I'm happy with it. Until now, I've always felt like I've had to improve it or redesign it or build a CMS of which it can be a part, or change my URL structure, or get my caching right, or tweak this or that. But no more; I'm happy.
It's essentially in "maintenance" mode. Maybe I'll tweak some things or add small new features. But I'm happy with the structure of it and I have pretty much all the features I want. So, that's what I mean by "done".
