AlterSlash

Ok, AlterSlash is pretty awesome. I'm no longer ever reading Slashdot by going to Slashdot itself. I just wish there was a way to get more than just the past day's entries on AlterSlash so you could easily see what you missed if you missed a day.

Nah, RSS readers irk me. I like to visit the sites themselves. Plus, whenever I've used an RSS reader it just becomes another source of backlog like e-mail is. Bloglines does seem very neat though... darn, now you've got me more interested.

I have been reading AlterSlash for a while. It does many things that Slashdot's RSS feed doesnt - for example displaying the top 5 rated comments. Personally I found the real gems are in the Slashdot comments, but even reading at score of 4 or 5 takes too much time.
