I just read the August 6, 2001 PDB. It was short, and exactly what Rice said it was. It certainly contained no actionable info, no specific info, and it seemed like it was all based on old intel.
I honestly thought it might be more incriminating than it is, but after reading it I'm astounded that some people would possibly cite this as an example of how Bush ignored the 9/11 threat, how Bush knew ahead of time, or some similar nonsense. I'm really flabbergasted.
Update: Glenn Reynolds has more about this, including a good quote from Donald Sensing:
It is baffling that Ben-Veniste made such a big issue out of the memo two days ago. He had already seen the memo and knew it had nothing about the 9/11 attacks. I can only surmise that he was sure the White House would never release it.
What a jerk Ben-Veniste was... I remember him bringing up the title of the PDB and trying not to let Rice explain that the title doesn't really reflect the content of the memo, knowing full well himself what was in it. He should be ashamed of himself, though it's unlikely he is. The best I can hope for is that he's now embarrased at what a "grandstanding nerd" he is.
