Bloody already?!
Update: Comments from producer Tim Minear (via WHEDONesque):
"My 'Firefly' experience was repeating itself."
Argh!
[At first,] "Wonderfalls" felt totally different to me... Then, at some point in the process, I could sense an erosion in enthusiasm. Even as we were finding our footing and delivering to them some really exceptional episodes (ones you never got to see!), things got chilly. Then they couldn't seem to find any place on the schedule for us. Then they did... and it was Friday night. I tell you now, the moment that was announced, I knew it was over.
When I first heard it was being put on Friday night (just like Firefly was), I was hoping it was just a coincidence... that they didn't intentionally put them in a Friday-night timeslot of death again. But Wonderfalls' fate was even worse than Firefly's. Wonderfalls only got three episodes, then they moved it to another night (without really telling many people) and put it up against two very popular shows. When it didn't do well on last Thursday after they moved it and put it up against those two very popular shows (big surprise! hello?), they immediately cancelled it.
