I use c#/.NET professionally at work and what i have to tell about it is just the same as about php: looks good at first but too much annoyances. although in .NET most annoyances are related to visual studio or the windows platorm (that, and the xml namespaces are quite buggy
.NET looks quite promising but is a PITA in the end
