And while you were away you went public on Blogshares.

I'd sell now while he's not blogging, then buy again when he starts back up.
You know it makes sense.

Actually, his blogging has little to do with how that sim actually works once the blog goes public, especially considering how slow they index the sites and the minor reflection it has on existing share price.
I think I have the system down by now anyway, I've talked with Keith at length about it, and my track record speaks for itself. (I'm in the top 10 of the best players list as of this writing)
Besides, I'm actually investing in the stocks of my friends for long term no-sell purposes. I have 90+ grand to float without the paltry 2k his blog provides me, so I might as well hang on to it long term. My value fluctuates more than that on an hourly basis.
My goal for blogshares is thus: By the end of May to be in the Top 10 best players (which I have reached, but need to maintain), and to break into the Top 100 richest players (I will probably need to get to $275-300 grand or so for that). This is becoming slightly more difficult for me, as I am not a "premium" member and am restricted to 20 transactions per day and I can only see limited market analysis reports.
Regardless of whether I achieve that, at the end of the month I will liquidate the entirety of my value (because come June I won't have time to dally with it anyway), and "Gift" my portfolio to my friends, only holding onto the weblogs I am personally involved with in some way.

Ah, clearly then you are the person to ask about it. I tried, and I was rubbish at it. So I gave up, I was always much better at popex which is the musical equivilant. Now that was a fun game.

By the way, since I stop updating, Google screwed me. I'm on the 5th page of results. Google, she is a harsh mistress.

You know, I was sitting around playing BlogShares, fiddling with fake currency on a fake stock market, and it dawned on me that I'm sick of this game.
So I just liquidated pretty much the entirety of my portfolio, save for a few stocks that are worth a pittance because I killed their value (heh), and thus not worth giving away.
I did keep around $25,000 in cash (not stock) lying around just in case I decide to pick this game up again, but I realized that I have better things to do, like handle my real stock, for example.
I took a nice screenshot of my ranking to serve as a commemorative moment, and I'm bidding BlogShares adieu.
