Threaded Comments

I've been ambivalent about threaded comments, where each comment has a link that says "reply to this", and if you click on that before posting a comment your comment will be indented and put under that comment. One good example is MozillaZine, but I just came across this post at Piers Cawley's new weblog which seems to be an excellent example of useful comment threading, and it's done within Movable Type (I didn't realize that could be done).

I always figured that people are generally too lazy, or at least not observant enough, to click on the "reply to this" link a large enough percentage of the time to be useful. I wonder...

And click on that post from Piers Cawley, it's worth reading besides the interesting comment threading

You'll be pleased to know that I implemented threaded comments lazily. I just went to http://mt-plugins.org/ and had a look for threaded comments. Problem solved.
