Hey don't worry about not reading that book, my guess is you aren't missing much. For a class I took last semester, that was the optional book. I didn't buy it. But judging by the class, the books is going to contain a lot of boring stuff on the specifics of semantics and a whole lot of other terms I can't remember since I blocked those painful memories out of my head.
Although, my professor was constantly raving about how great that book is... so I really don't know.
