The Crow was the best of them....2 was bearable, 3 was cruel and unusual punishment. The thought of a 4th makes me plead for mercy.

I really liked the first Crow, even have it on DVD, but the rest of them were pretty bad.

I rewatched T1 and T2 recently and they had a lot of jokes regarding the sun glasses. Its sort of a running gag of sorts.

My impression was the big chase/explosion stuff at the beginning was shot really closely. Perhaps an attempt to bring the viewer into the action more, perhaps an attempt to ensure it played better on television. For some reason it felt like big budget television to me.

It definitely is a running gag, and I realize that. But T3 dwelled on it far more than the others did. The Terminator putting on sparkly star glasses in the beginning? Come on.

I didn't say it was a good running gag. I agree they overdid it. Can anyone explain why the dogs didn't bark when Arnold was around in T2? Did the dogs sense he was the good Terminator? I loved T2 but upon reinspection I'm seeing a lot more corn than I remembered.

Well I have just rewatched T1 and T2 tonight... I also have seen T3 three times at the moives... I thought I liked it at first now I just think its an ok movie to see for the summer... My biggest problems with the film was that Eddie Furlong didnt play John Connor, The guy who did was a joke... Stahl or whatever his name is was a bad choice as he is to plain for the role... The way Eddie played the role was better... Stahl was all like "guns? what do I do with those?"... Whereas in the T2 movie Eddie was knowledgable with the guns and stealing money from ATMs... I know that is also the writers and directers faults but still... I think that Claire Dains was ok... I dont really have anything bad to say about her... I did read somewhere on the net where they were critisizing the HOT HOT HOT Female Terminator... Saying she had no personality... DUH !... She is a total Fembot type... Anway if my calculations are correct... Arnold and Dr. Silverman were the only 2 people in all 3 movies ? I think they had a good concept going but spoiled it with bad casting... That Stahl guy was so freakin bad... He ruined the movie if anything did... The joke about the sunglasses was ok if you just laughed and then ignored it... The part where Arnold said "She'll be back" after the Fem goes down a shaft was great... Arnold is in great shape... His age wasnt even an issue though people thought he couldnt do it... The movie just had a diff feal and some of us were expecting them to stay with the same type of feel as T2 which was awsome... Not having Linda Hamilton in it was fine with me b/c i thought that having her in it would make the movie too close to the first and second... It was a cool idea to actually move on and do a new thing rather than redo a movie just to do another... I mean it is an actual heres what happens now... Instead of a movie that was simple lets make a new T2 and have the same propblems as the others... In this one they actually dont stop the "war"... I mean in the first movie its about saving Sarah Connor... The second one was about saving John Connor and stopping cyberdine and the "war"... ofcourse and fighting the Terminators too... And in the 3rd its about them surving and the machines finally take over... allowing what was always supposed to be the future to finally happen... Well I did enjoy the movie anyway... And I would love to see a part 4... I wanna see Arnold do it again... And I dont think they ruined the entire francise with the mistakes they made this time... It was still a good movie to watch this summer

this movie wasnt all that bad,y take the piss so much.its still got the terminator story it hasnt drifted away from it,i wud love to see the forth one as it shud end of the story.the jokes wer just kinda takin the mik out of james cameron oringal idea,but u cud see that happenin anyway, the new john conner was gd in it not as gd as eddie furlong wud of been but he didnt do badly.the terminator is arnys best role he's ever done,and he can still do it amazingly,its a decent film to watch,but exactly how gd after the second one did u expect it to b coz the second one was like the only sequel film to b as gd as the first,i fort it was a gd film all in all and is worth watching to carry on the story,it cud of been better of course but dont b so critical and stop pikin the story to peices to see wot else u can see is rong wit it.

Where is eddie furlong. I don't like this hobbit lookin' guy who stole his role. When clare danes (not the best casting job herself, although i did like kristanna loken as the terninatrix) recognises him from junior high, you're like 'Ridiculous, he doesn't even look like the real john connor.' During the audio track of T2 Cameron is saying how a lot of the effects were real, how cg is just part of the apllate a director has to tell a story. T3 seemed like they were saying 'let's figure out how we can use the computer in this scene.' They also gave arnold too many cute lines. he's supposed to be terrifying--he's a terminator.

how did reese&sara connor have such a wimpy son. he looks nothing like kile from part 1. i think josh hartnet would have been better. come on james how hard is it to come up with a script. heres one. in a last stich effort sky net sends a t800 back to 2001 to ensure judjment day and conner has to stop him. conner is not as battle hardend as resse. he has a tough time killing his only father figure but knows it has to be done. the terminator movies arent about killing machines there realy about us.+ it would have been the first movie where a terminator was hunted.after all it was john who tought the surviors to storm the fences and smash those metal mothers in to junk.and would have expland why john was a leader in the future as he was fighting machines even before judment day. that could have tied all kinds of things together just think of all the possible directions you could go with it would john be john if sky net hadnt sent a terminator back did skynet accidenty plant the seed for its own demise did johns hate for having to killing his father figure

John Connor is the central character in Terminator 3. To replace him at all when Eddie Furlong is still available was ridiculous, and it kept me from paying to see this movie when it was in theaters.<p>

I like the "hobbit lookin' guy" remark above about Nick Stahl. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but he does look like a hobbit, and he didn't carry the role off well. Every time he makes a reference to the past I'm thinking, "That wasn't you, that was Eddie Furlong!"<p>

For me, T3 is to T1 and T2 what Godfather III is to the first two Godfather movies. And replacing Eddie Furlong with Nick Stahl is somewhat akin to replacing Robert Duvall (consigliere Tom Hagen in Godfather part I and II) with George Hamilton (who substitutes for Hagen in part III but is at least a different character, which is easier to stomach). Actor swapping might work on Bewitched and Roseanne, but what was Arnold thinking?

Does anybody know why Eddie Furlong did not play the part of John Conner in T3? That totally sucks that he didn't play that part, the movie would have been much better. In 2000 I read that Eddie Furlong was preparing for T3, and that he was toning down his wild life. If he was preparing for it 3 years ago, what happened?

he didnt do it because the producers didnt want a druggie to play in the movie, but i think thats wrong cause as you said eddie was clean then and he was out of rehab so it wasnt fair.
plus i totally love eddie furlong so i think he should of played it anyway.

I just recently saw the terminator 1 and 2 movies again, just for kicks. I enjoyed them immensely still, even to this day. Sure, the first one had some cheesy special effects but the story was excellent. The second one also had some holes, but it, too was a story that was a very interesting one.

T3 had an interesting plotline that I thought really closed the gap between what has happened thus far and what must happen in the future in order for John Connor to exist in the first place. I thought that the writers were very clever for thinking of this plot line. Having said this, however, there were two main items that I found hard to stomach.

First, the casting for John Connor was all wrong. Nick Stahl did the best he can, but he simply was not as charismatic as Edward Furlong was. Why replace Edward Furlong when he is available and is of the right age for the character in T3? Replacing him was a very poor decision, as it is a slap in the face to the fans. It takes away the nostalgia and the believability. I tried my best to ignore it and watch the movie for what it was, but I could not stop thinking that it was not Stahl, but Furlong in the last movie. Plus, Nick Stahl reminds me of a monkey.

Second, Jim Cameron explicitly states in T2 how old John is - he is a 10 year old child. The storyline of Claire Danes having some sort of a love history is just plain wrong. At least point out the correct age! Fans remember tidbits like this. To the writers and the producers - please, please do some extensive research on the prequels before doing a sequel! It annoys me when I catch stuff like this when I'm supposed to be buying into the whole storyline.

anyone who liked this movie has some kind of mental disabilty. its the most degenerate pile of garbage to come out in at least ten years.everything is wrong including arnie (suddenly being fat and old) and all of the actors in the film.
its the most dreadful peice of casting ive ever seen, the guy who plays john connor is really crap but he looks like fucking james dean next to the dumb bitch they got to play the female terminator. as for the director honestly saying it would of been good if they had another 50 millions dollars. what an asshole it would of been good if the had saved the 50 mil they spent on the chase sequence and hired some damn script writers and actors with more than three brain cells. everyone involved with this project in anyway should have there feet burried in concrete and then be thrown off a bridge somewhere.

Are you kidding? Arnold was in excellent shape!! That was probably the only thing good about this movie. This movie was the crappiest terminators ever. And the analogy of Terminators to the godfathers is correct. This story was rushed, used wrong facts, and you know what, I wasnt scared of the TX like I was of the t1000 or the original terminator.

I think the biggest reason why T3 totally blew was because Edward Furlong got ROBBED of the part of John Connor..... What a slap in the face for Eddie,Poor dude.... He was all excited to possibly reprise the roll & then they totally snubbed him.....
