Here's hoping that Opera has workable memory management this time.
Via LWN, check out this interview with Larry McVoy
Summary
The story of how BitKeeper has come to be Linus Torvalds' (and many other kernel hackers) tool of choice in maintaining the Linux development tree is worthy of a book. Here's the Cliff Note's version of McVoy's contribution to Linux kernel development, BitKeeper, and countless hours of flaming on the role of open source and proprietary software.
Via Dean, I should probably check out PHP Code Genie.
Man, I wish I was this smart.
I just had to respond to this silly "pro-gay" slogan I came across.
"SEX HAPPENS. GAY SEX HAPPENS. IT IS BIOLOGY. NOT MORALITY."
By that logic, I can condone rape by saying:
SEX HAPPENS. RAPE HAPPENS. IT IS BIOLOGY. NOT MORALITY.
Or how about:
SEX HAPPENS. ANIMAL SEX HAPPENS. IT IS BIOLOGY. NOT MORALITY.
Or then again:
SEX HAPPENS. INCESTUAL SEX HAPPENS. IT IS BIOLOGY. NOT MORALITY.
I figure that the "reducto" is obvious by now, so I'll stop.
Cool domain though.
I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to connect to the Internet with my Palm IIIe and my existing cell phone (an Audiovox CDM-4000). I doubt it's possible, given the age of both my Palm and my cell phone, but the Palm does have network and modem settings staring me in the face that I'd love to be able to use.
Here's a Palm modem for my model at Amazon.com.
I'd need to be able to connect the modem to my cell phone, which I'm not sure how to do, and I'm not sure if my cell phone or my service would even support data transfer. If anyone has a clue to share I'd be grateful.
