Remember The Critic? Remember what a good show it was? Well, there are some episodes, done in flash, on AtomFilms.com. They're not exactly new, but what I saw of them was pretty funny, and I've been listening to my brother laugh at them in his room over the past half hour
R.I.P. Mr. Rogers. We can be sure he's gone home to a better place.
Facts and links from Oliver.
I'm watching him on (an obviously old episode of) the Carson Daily show, and he's talking about the war, and his show (which has since been cancelled), and dumb shit is just pouring out of his mouth.
"If we reach out instead of lashing out, we can make an environment in which terrorism is less likely."
I left out some "I believe"'s, and "In my opinion"'s, etc., but what I quoted above is almost exactly what he said.
Another one "we can solve this problem without killing babies".
I probably missed some of the best (or worst and dumbest, depending on how you look at it) things he said, but after watching him - I really never have before - I can see a possible reason why he got cancelled. He's a raging moron.
Awesome episode of Conan tonight (last night, actually). Dana Carvey, John Ritter, and Ted Nugent! Really funny.
Steven Den Beste has another one of his excellent posts. Much of it is quotable, but just go and read it, though it's long. What the war is about
Also make sure to read the Washington Post article linked at the end:
While aiming to reassure the world, Bush balanced his promises of humanitarian steps with a firm assertion of American might and right. He spoke of medicine and food for Iraqis, and a guarantee of Iraqi democracy and territorial integrity. Yet he also said that "the hope of millions depend on us, and Americans do not turn away from duties because they are hard." And he argued that while part of the history of the nation and civilized world was written by others, "the rest will be written by us."
