I just went through my old copy of SharpReader to see if there were any weblogs I'd missed that I wanted to put in my blo.gs blogroll. Turns out I had totally forgotten about American Realpolitik. You gotta check out the first cartoon in his most recent morning comics.

"I saw what happened in Iraq, and I was afraid"

Via ESR, here's a neat article from the Telegraph which includes this tidbit:

A spokesman for Mr Berlusconi said the prime minister had been telephoned recently by Col Gaddafi of Libya, who said: "I will do whatever the Americans want, because I saw what happened in Iraq, and I was afraid."

Awesome.

Raymond:

after 9/11, what Americans want is a president that will make tyrants and terrorists very, very afraid. Bush, for all his other failings, has delivered on that.

Amen.

Also, make sure you read that article from the Telegraph. I'm glad we have allies like Italy.
