Hurry up and build one then Mine was an evening's hacking - it's not particularly elegant but it works a treat and only uses one simple database table meaning it will be easy to re-engineer it in to something a lot neater if I ever get the inclination.

See, I don't know how I want it to work yet. Like Kottke, with batches of links interspersed with the rest, or like you, with its own little section, or in another way I've been considering doing it. Plus, I'm not sure what to do about permalinks or URL structure. And, I don't want to work on my current PHP codebase anymore. Finally, I could just forego the whole linkblog thing if I just blogged more

I've had a tool in the hopper for a while that will use an RPC mechanism (I'm being intentionally vague... since it's not XML-RPC) to allow me to post to my weblog, using something sort of like a Blogger API. I figured once I get that handy, it'll make blogging even easier, so maybe a separate link blog won't be necessary.

Why do I make this so complicated?
