spamweed is a good spam filter. It uses bayesian filter, but it does not have problems that POPFiles have.
I have been using it since its very early release. According to the author, they used a number of technologies to overcome shortages of the bayesian algorithms (basically 2: a. difficulty in managing database expansion; b. easily affected by spammer's tricks, which worsen (a)). SpamWeed is a very fast learner because it feeds all the results of other technologies to its bayesian engine, sort of like SpamAssassin's new bayesian attempt. It reaches nearly 100% accuracy after using about one-two weeks.
