Flash is EVIL

I didn't used to have Flash installed in Mozilla Firebird (which is how I liked it), and all of a sudden it shows up installed. This is the second time this has happened. I'd uninstall flash completely if I didn't still want it for a few things like Homestar Runner and Ninjai (whenever they finally release their next chapters), but I'd use Internet Explorer for those. Why does Flash suddenly show up in Firebird when it didn't before? Grrr!!

Don't know why Flash crawled back up out of the ooze, but I do know that the Flash click to view extension makes living with Flash tolerable: no autoplaying distractions, no "you must install Flash: 12 billion people can't be wrong!" redirects, just a link saying "Flash [[click to play]]" for the one in a million times when you want to see it.

It didn't work on http://movies.go.com/, which is the site that made me realize that Flash had gotten its dirty little hands on my browser again.

Oh, yeah, I'd forgotten that it only works on Flash in object tags, not embed (bug 190970, and given the activity, I'm glad there aren't more sites using embed).

I read something that Firebird uses the plugins in the Mozilla main folder... so any plugin you have for Mozilla is useable (and predent) in Firebird... I think it said that somewhere in the Install pages...
