Try "View | Hide Read Headlines".

When you "Hide Read Headlines" NewsDesk will only show you channels with unread headlines.

Isn't that the feature you're looking for?

THe "summary" I'm talking about is what appears in the lower-right pane after you click on a feed in the left pane. It's what appears before you click on an individual post. I'd like an option to have that only display new posts. Right now, it always displays all posts, regardless of whether they've been read or not. Know what I mean?

One more feature I'd like (Syndirella also has this), is to have a link to the post in the summary view. So, just like when you double click on the post title in the top-right pane and it opens the post in the internal browser, I'd like it if the title of the link (for instance) in the lower-left pane was a link to the post too.
