I forgot I could block IP's from my control panel... I may do that. My other options were to specifically exclude hits from that spider from e-mailing me, or to check for that IP and print a nasty message (which would probably never get seen, however).

BTW, I just ordered Unreal Tournament 2003 today. Since it came out there's a lot less activity on the old UT, so I'm being forced to upgrade

Yeah, I haven't yet gotten it, but I'm really, really tempted. I know I'll get it eventually no matter what, I want it... but I have a strong indication that Santa might actually want to bring me something this year... I just wonder if I can hold out until the end of December

This is especially rough because BestBuy.com seems to have it on sale for $40... and there are like 3 Best Buys in my area, so I could do that whole order online, pick it up in the store thing if I wanted... sooo tempting...

Actually, Amazon has it for 29.95 or .99 or whatever - 20 bucks cheapter than retail. So that's where I got it from. Had I ordered the strategy guide, I could have gotten both for 40 and change total including free shipping (I have lots of schoolwork, so I'm in no hurry to give myself yet another distraction).

In fact, I decided later to order the strategy guide, but Amazon wouln't let me retroactively add it to the order because of their "free shipping promotion" (bitches) - they said it was "shipping soon" even though we all know it won't ship for like 2 and a half weeks.

I'm wary of Amazon... they've been really hit-or-miss in my experience with them. Plus, to me, I consider the extra $10 something of a "convenience fee" for not having to wait for Amazon to gett off their ass and ship it, though thanks for the heads up, I may point Santa in that direction come Christmas time if I haven't broken down yet. The cool thing about Best Buy's thing is that if I order it online, and then go and pick it up in the store (there are two Best Buys about 15-20 mins from me), I manage to somehow avoid paying tax AND I don't have to pay shipping or wait... I don't know how they get away with it, must be something about ordering online, which could be along the lines of ordering through a California based company while living in Texas, and they consider the retail outlets to be warehouses that they ship from, or something... but that's their problem, not mine.

I know if you order online through a company that is based in the same state as you are, you have to pay sales tax though... since I order frequently from Mouser and they are based in Austin (I believe, maybe San Antonio).
