Via Madville: "At least back then, people knew how to make their own fun."
Also via Madville, A funky theory about what caused the plagues in Egypt. As a Christian, I'm not opposed at all to this kind of reasoning. God often uses natural phenomena to work his miracles. The star of Bethlehem is thought to have been a super-nova, for example.
The first Spaces alpha has been released. Now I have to download the 1.4 version of the JRE.

New features in Visual C++.Net:
I have not been able to throw any Standard C++ at it that it couldn't compile and handle correctly yet. Very heavy users of advanced Standard C++ features, particuarly templates like Loki, Boost and Blitz now compile 100%!
Last, but certainly not least, there is now a Form Designer for Managed C++! You will be able to do everything you do with the C# or VB designer. You can visually design forms and work with Managed C++.
Very cool.
"Eeeexcellent. Smithers, fetch me my carrier battle group.". Very funny comments. Well, at least to start with... then things get more serious. In much much happier news, a funny interview with Emma Watson:
But she did tell CBBC's Newsround that some people at her school give her stick about the film.
She said: "They walk past and go 'Wingardium Leviosa' for the billionth time that day, and I go aaagggghhhhhh!
There's a video and everything, which I watched until they started showing scenes from the movie (which I refuse to have spoiled for me!). Via The Leaky Cauldron.
Via WHEDONesque, a transcript of an AOL chat session with Joss Whedon. Very cool, and the spoiler sections are very nicely hidden unless you want them.
