Entry 1293

For some reason today was such a long day. Maybe it's just because I didn't recover totally from yesterday.

Anyway, now that I've had all of my classes, I'll give a little lowdown. I'll start with the bad:

My two computer science teachers are such bad teachers it's scary. They're potentially the most boring individuals ever! The classes seem very doable though, and if I read the books I shouldn't have a problem getting A's. My calculus class is in the basement of the crappiest building on campus Smiley but the teacher seems to know her stuff, though I can't write fast enough to keep up! I will have to do much studying for this class, but luckily after calculus I'll usually have a time when I'm still waiting around for another class to go to the library and study for at least an hour.

My macro-economics professor is awesome. He's potentially one of the best teachers I've ever had. First class he did something I've never seen another teacher do. He basically, mostly from memory, brought the class through an entire outline of what we're going to be doing all semester, and explained each topic in detail, so we know what's coming and why. He's a really personable guy, he's way for capitalism ("yay capitalism" (thanks!)), and it seems like it should be a fun course (which I already have a pretty good head start in since I already took micro).

Finally, there were two English 102's during my period (MW4), one in Hill 209 and one in Hill 203. I knew that there were two, and that the English teacher I had last semester (Professor Keis, very good guy) was teaching one of them, but I hadn't known which one he was teaching. I figured I'd leave it up to fate and see which one I got. If I got Keis, great. If not, I'd see if I liked the guy I got, and if I didn't, switch. Well, I got the other guy, and he scared me a lot. I knew I wasn't going to like the style of work he was going to give, and I find it very hard to work for English teachers I don't like (right Mrs. Larson?). So I was able to switch, thanks to Professor Keis. He wanted me in his class, too, since I'm a good student Smiley

Besides that, in the middle of the day my dog took a downturn in her recovery, so I've been worried, but soon after I got home we got a call from the vet and she said she was doing better. It's been a long day. Time to rest (and watch Friends! And watch Enterprise! And do Calculus!).
