Wow, excellent tip! How Fuel Gauges Work:
"Running on Empty
You may be surprised at how much fuel you actually have left when the needle is on empty. To find out, check your owner's manual for the exact volume of your fuel tank. Then, the next time your needle shows empty, find the nearest gas station and fill 'er up. Subtract the number of gallons it takes to fill your tank from the volume stated in the owner's manual, and you'll know just how much farther you can go when the gauge hits empty."
Joel Spolsky wins a well-deserved Blogger of the Year award from Dave.
Is this the Cher doll that was given as a gift on Will and Grace last night?
I just checked my access log for my old web site to see how much longer I should have to wait before cancelling that account (after domain propagation finishes). It was funny, it's just about all spiders and worms hitting the site now. I'll cancel it next week, I suppose. I just have to make sure they don't go ahead and charge my credit card without telling me.
I just had a great lunch with people back at MMT. It was good to see everyone again. Everything there was the same, except they got a new lunch table, and there aren't as many people there as there were last time I got to hug people I haven't hugged in awhile.
Oh, and I finally got my book back from Roy
My new web host is "da bomb". My most recent support request resulted in the precise answer I wanted, and look at that response time. Thanks Annette!
In more Outlook Express happenings, so that I could completely decouple myself from Outlook, I have to edit my registry to move my "Windows Address Book" file to my My Documents folder, which (theoretically) I back up.
See, my weblog is great. If I ever move to another computer, I'll know I put this note here, and I'll be able to look it up to find out what to do again.
I also wanted to know how to import my contacts from Outlook into Outlook express, since I want to use the Windows Address Book instead of the Outlook PST file. Unfortunately, there's no other way to do it besides exporting to CSV. To save myself some headache I think I may just keep using the address book from Outlook. There's no reason to change, I suppose.
I have to investigate how the Blogger API works. How does it handle authentication?
Ah, well here's the documentation... and it's the obvious... username and password No challenge-response or anything
