Regardless of my opinion on the matter, I'm pointing out that their position of allowing same sex marriages is inconsistent with what the Bible says on the subject. Since they're Christians, and presumably believe the Bible should be followed, either they haven't read the Bible and are merely ignorant of what it says, or they're willfully contradicting it with their actions.

Interesting quote there, perhaps there's hope for you Christians yet.
Did a quick search and turned up this. You should read the section entitled "but the bible..." which brings up a few arguments. By the christian belief system you must follow the what's in the book, but why do so many people forget that people interpret things differently.
Frankly the church is a private organization so its up to it to run things how it likes but never forget it also carries the burden of defending its beliefs and rules from within, thems the brakes as they say. Give em "hell" National City Christian Church.

Talk about a site which wears its bias on its sleeve... the site seems so theologically ignorant it's maddening... "Those Christians who base their disapproval of homosexuality on them must be prepared to state whether or not they are prepared to keep the other provisions of the Jewish Law". Aaah. The ten commandments are part of Jewish law too, do they not still hold?
"people interpret things differently" - you can't actually read the Bible and believe that it condones homosexuality.

Real quick, here's two parts of the Bible off the top of my head which seem pretty clear to me:
Romans 1:21-27
For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
And Leviticus 18:22 and Deuteronomy 20:13:
Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.
If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.
Both of which the site itself cites. The fact that the site just dismisses these verses out of hand shows its bias.

so, by posting this are you stating your opinion on this matter and if so, then showing your intolerance of letting other people run their lives in their own ways?
