Perl makes sweet love to .NET

Via Sam Gentile, .net Force: .NET Speaks Perl Now.

With PerlNET you may perform the following tasks:
* Create monolithic .NET applications
* Working with .NET objects
* Create .NET classes (PerlNET components)
* Create GUI applications using Windows Forms

Check out some simple code, to prove that it works:

use namespace "System";
use PerlNET qw(AUTOCALL);
my $e = Math->Exp(1);
print "e = $e\n";

Very cool.

Hmmm. I wonder what the boys at ActiveState and their pricey Visual Perl think about this? They've had this product out for months and only now its getting any notice.
