I just searched on Google for "Scripting" and found the Scripting section of the Windows 2000 Magazine Network, where they have a link to KiXtart, a language I'd never heard of (which is rare
. It looks like it's a language to automate Windows tasks (which is a fine nitch to fill), and I have to look into it a little more. Go to the KiXtart home page. Here's a list of articles about the language. As a side note, it's a good thing KiXtart is free, otherwise I wouldn't be interested. Why would I want to pay for something when I have Perl or Python, or any language with the Microsoft Scripting Host, which includes Perl and Python as well as JScript and VBScript. Oh, by the way, KiXtart is developed by an actual Microsoft employee (in Benelux?), which is cool.
Also check out the scripting languages page at Softpanorama.org. I also found this site which also mentions KiXtart. Here's a site called Windows Scripting Solutions, also from Windows 2000 Network Magazine, and I'm not sure yet how this differs from the other site. The alternate domain is http://www.winscriptingsolutions.com.
