Colorgenics: I did the test. My color choices were 51276043. "You are longing for some love and affection at this time ... not that you have been deprived of tender loving care ... but there are times when everyone needs to try something new or to go "somewhere" else to perhaps experience that little extra "understanding" ... "
"You don't really give in. You follow your beliefs and ideals to the bitter end. You are the personification of stubbornness and whatever may transpire, right or wrong, you refuse to compromise or make concessions."
I feel dirty, like I just went to a psychic. What's funny is I thought that before I saw at the bottom that they now want me to call the "Psychic Colorgenics Hot-Line"
Hmm... "You are worn out - suffering from what has been described as "burnout" and nothing seems to stimulate you to break away from this state of lethargy... You are endeavouring to break away from this situation by withdrawing into a state of "Never Never Land"" - could this be my Dragon Warrior addiction, of late? ;-)
From PHPEverywhere: Robert X Cringely: Caught in a .NET.
I didn't even read the stuff he has about the DOJ settlement with Microsoft. I've already read enough about it. What I found interesting was his comparison of Java to C# and .Net. Best line: "Technical merits and zealotry aside -- Sun would BE Microsoft if they could." true
Here's a pretty biting review of Thelma & Louise at Cinepad.
FrontPageMagazine.com: A Statement from David Horowitz: "In my opinion, Clinton is trying to divert attention from his own failed efforts and responses to the worldwide terrorists network that now threatens civilization. Clinton's tepid response to the first World Trade Center bombing and to our U.S. Embassies bombing as well as to the U.S.S. Cole encouraged Bin Laden and his thugs to be even bolder."
An American Airlines 767 has crashed in Queens. I don't have any more information than anyone else does at this point, but I'll bet you get the most current news from Slashdot or Scripting News. Most other news sites seem to be down.
Here's a very current article from the AP - about two minutes ago as I write this.
Yahoo news seems to be holding up well. Here's an article from CNN. It looks like the major news sites are becoming accessible again.
Hey cool, I just noticed GeekBlog linked to me. He writes in response to my post where I was wondering about what the ending of the Buffy musical was:
"I got a surprise link the other day, but link did not show up until today. Keith Devens says on his Blog "He says the final scene was shocking! What was the final scene!! I don't know how close to the end I was when my VCR cut out! Supposedly, according to TV Guide, they're showing the episode again next Friday. I must see it." Keith, my brother said it was predictable, but I think it was a little surprising. I hope you do get the change to watch it, though you will surely see it at the beginning of the next episode as a recap."
Cool, thanks. He also points out a spelling error that I had (thanks!) and have now fixed. I've been purposefully ignoring the problem of spelling errors on my site, hoping things would "just work out" and I would magically catch any spelling errors I have. Well, this is the first public mention my spelling errors, so I've officially failed I just checked and my web host doesn't have PHP's Pspell interface installed, so I have to figure out what to do.
Ok, more "Buffy: the Musical" commentary, from UltraSparky.org for Nov 7: "I also went bananas over this episode, which was not only shrewdly witty, bawdy, and satirical, but also a moving chapter in the overall Buffy saga. It wasn't just a gimmick, they really managed to use the format to propel the season's story arcs forward." Yes! He has some other very good, and very accurate, things to say about Joss Whedon, the show's creator. I wish it was possible for Wheadon to pay that much attention to every episode he does. It's hard to go back to "normal" Buffy episodes after seeing the last one
