An Introduction to Ruby: "Ruby is two parts Perl, one part Python, and one part Smalltalk. So says Colin Steele, a developer who is smitten with this "diamond in the rough" of scripting languages." - I like Ruby. Hey, I already read the whole book on it However, so far I tend to agree with Bruce Eckel's opinion of Ruby. From his Thinking in Python page, he links to his Why I Love Python slideshow. In the presentation, he says this about Ruby: "I'll wait and see, but my impression is that it doesn't do more for me than Python (or not more enough)".
